I have fabric covered window treatments. I have installed my L-brackets in the wood window frame. When I drill the holes in the treatments it tears and twists the fabric. How can I avoid this?

I'm not entirely sure of the treatments you are trying to hang however.....Dont drill the fabric. instead use an awl to poke a hole and work it as much as you need to enlarge the hole. You can then drill through the backing behind the fabric without the bit comeing in contact with the fabric.....
