I have a new concrete patio of about 500 sq feet
that has an elevation varying from one foot to four feet. It has a footing down below the frost line. I have investigated several materials for the top surface and have tenitively settled on 1/2 inch brick paveing tiles using a mix of several brick colors. I originally thought to use
tile grout close in color to my pavers to dress up the side elevations of the patio and I have also thought of dressing up the sides with brick.

Are there any liabilities associated with any of these ideas?
Thanks:confused:

Hi oldchuck, (great name by the way)
It sounds like you have some good ideas for you new patio. I would use mortar with dye mixed in instead of sanded tile grout, which is much more cost effective. You local brick supply will have samples of color, however you probably will not get an exact match due to cement color variations. The shade will still be compatible so you should be fine.

Brick on the sides sounds good too as long as the foundation is deep enough.

Have fun, oldNuc
