I am installing a basement bathroom. I have a choice as to which way to route the fan duct.
1 - a short 3' run to get above grade and then go through the brick on the front of the house. - Not real keen on going through the brick.
2 - a short 4' run up and through a wall to the inside of the garage. - not real keen on venting into the garage.
3 - a longer 18' run and venting out the back of the house - this is the easiest route but I am not sure if the run is too long.
what do you think?
thanks

Go with the 3' run -- your first mentioned choice. You are right that you don't want to duct it into the garage, and the 18' run is too long, especially if it will have any bends in the duct.
