Sorry to bug you all again, but I just spoke with an HVAC guy who said I could run my BA exhaust fan duct to the peak vent at the end of the house as long as it has a 1/4" per foot downward slope. I guess I need to go straight up from the fan to get the required height before I can run to the peak vent.... Will a 70 CFM fan be OK for this? I know the ideal thing is to go out through the soffit, it's just I really don't want to mess with my new siding......

Thanks again,
Rob

Ok Rob:

I'll re-state what was already said. The purpose of a bathroom exhaust fan is to remove the hot moist air from the bathroom to the outside of the house.

While I can understand you don't want to fool with your new siding, just think of the work involved if you created a serious moisture problem in your attic.

I think I'd rather fool with the siding than have to replace my livingroom ceiling because of a moisture problem.

Don't fool with this, do it right and avoid all kinds of problems later.
