Price Pfister popup stopper in bathroom is scored and I want to replace the brass stopper only as I have all the necessary rods and cap and plunger. The question is how to remove the present stopper (cap). The new one doesn't have any threads on the rod so I assume (always a bad idea) it is a force fit. Is this correct? Thanks

travel31,
You will have better luck in the plumbing department :) , I would move this thread over there for you but since there already is another posting I am going to leave it.
tireluc,
You certainly can change the color, use the same like paint (latex over latex, etc.) To go from a dark color to a lighter one use a quality paint and be prepared for at least two full coats, I will suggest Promar 200 latex from Sherwin Williams for the excellent coverage it has, assuming it is an existing latex on the wall now.
