I was thinking of ripping plywood into various widths, slightly easing edges and using as flooring (over subfloor). I would stain it and then flood it with polyurethane. Is this a stupid idea? Would the veneer be too thin to take the punishment? Is there a more protective finish than polyurethane? Any comments or suggestions please.
