Our house was built a year and a half ago. About 6 months ago I noticed that our toilets (two upstairs) don't flush as well as they first did. The one in our master bedroom is the worst, it doesn't even take the water down to the bottom of the bowl. The workaround is to hold the handle down an extra couple seconds so more water is used.
Is there something I can do to fix this?

If you use those drop in tank sanitizer things, they frequently block the ports that the water travels through and cause a weak flush. The ports are difficult to clear and the problem is frequently difficult to detect.
Check your water level in the tank. It's usually about 3/4" below top of overflow tube. If water level is too low, you tend to get a weak flush.
If the flapper chain is too loose, it will not allow the flapper to open all the way and you get a weak flush.
Without regular cleaning and brushing up under the toilet rim, the ports can become clogged with mineral deposits, blocking water flow and causing a weak flush.
Make an inspection of your toilets and let us see if we can determine the cause of your weak flushes.

Now that you mention it, the problem started happening shortly after using those drop in sanitizers you mentioned. I never liked them things (wife brought them home one day).
Any way to possibly clean that out of the pipes? The drop-ins have been gone for a few months now.
Thank you!
