I live in humid Houston Texas in a 1930 frame 2 story duplex with brick veneer down and those awful looking "cementaceous" shingles over the original clapboards. There are about 40 exterior doors and windows in various states of repair.

I was going to use oilbased primer on bare wood trim and paint with oil based white semigloss enamel. more on the sills, double hung 6 over 6 windows, and shutters later.
