I have really dark barnboard paneling in my bedroom and I'm sick of looking at it, Is there any simple way to paint over it?? Another question I have, is there an easy way to paint over a drop ceiling?? I'd like to take the tiles out but they break when I start messing with them.
Any help on either or both questions would be greatly appreciated.

I would buy or rent a paint sprayer, tape off everything with plastic drop cloths, and paint the barnboard and ceilings.
Easiest, fastest way to do both.
Prime them both with sander-primer-sealer like Kilz or Benjamin-Moore SPS first. Both are probably very porous.
