I painted my dining room walls with a water based silk paint. I used a white silk paint as a primer, then I applied two coats of oyster colored paint, all with a roller. There was no streaking in the white paint, but each coat of the oyster left streaks from the roller. Any suggestions on how to clear this issue up?

What kind of roller did you use?? How much was it?
Did you use the same roller and not wash it out and dry it /spin it out thoroughly??
What colour were the streaks?? Did you stir the paint thoroughly??
Were there traces of white in your roller tray??

I'm not sure of what type of roller it was. The guy at the store said that was the type I needed. After each coat, I washed and dried the roller. I actually used a seperate roller for the white and the oyster paints. The streaks seem to be from the roller itself. Once the wall dried, you could see the path of the roller on the wall.

I use an expensive thick pile roller and have never experianced problems..Streaks can appear..but that is usually only caused by paint that hasn`t been shaken enough by the retailer..
Cheap shortpile rollers have a tendency to leave tram lines so steer clear of them..
Sorry I cant help further but without actually seeing these "streaks" its quite hard to provide a definate solution...
