Not sure if this is the right forum, but I have been puzzled with the following problem: I have a crack across the ceiling of my 40 year-old bi level home where the living room and dining room meet (so to speak). I have heard people in the neighborhood say they have cracks in the same location in their home as well. It appears to be very common in this type of home.
I have tried spackle and even caulk to overcome this crack but to no avail.
Do you know of anything that will fix this problem more permanently? Also, is there anything I can do structurally to alleviate the problem?
