hi i have a weil mclain hot water furnace which has 2 zones a lot of times my up stairs is cold other times its hot i cant keep a steady temp .if i turn up the therm. when she's cold it wont be long and were sweating any sugg. thanks olds 79

Could be a sticky zone valve. Do you have one circulator pump or two? If only one, you probably have zone valves, that open and close based on the thermostat calling for heat. These notoriously go bad. You can buy replacement heads and easily fix them. You should also look at your thermostat. Take off the cover in the zone where the thermostat is located. You should see a small mercury tube. Watch to see that it is reacting to the temperature you set it at. Good luck.

thanks joelp ive got 2 circulator pumps the one for the zone in question leaks sometimes not to often. has a gasket leaking looks like a pain to change theres no shut offs or disconnects near by thanks olds 79
