I am bldg a geodesic dome cabin in the CO mtns, total area is 1200 sq ft including 300 sq ft of loft. Anyone had experience with the Riinai direct vent gas heater. I will be using propane. Anyone had any experiences with any other direct vent gas heaters. I do not wish to install any ducting for simplicity's sake.

Hello Ray. Welcome to my Gas Appliances forum.

Any heater that does not have a central warm air distribution system, {Forced Air} will not do well heating the house. Based upon floor plan, any rooms far from the heat source will noy be heated correctly.

Direct vent heaters even with the correct BTU rating will not heat rooms evenly that are on the opposite side of a home of the size your mentioning here.

I would suggest a forced warm air furnace, with registers in all rooms, to do the job of heating this size home correctly.

In an effort to better assist you, I have moved this topic to the heating and cooling forum.

Regards & Good Luck
