We will be installing ceramic tile in a sunroom that is much colder than the house. I know that for some materials, like parquet flooring, for example, it is advisable to put the materials in the location in which they will be installed for 24 to 48 hours ahead of time for temperatures to equalize. It this important for ceramic tile also? I ask, because in this case it would be difficult to do this since we are installing DITRA as in underlayment, and should not stack the waiting tiles on top of it.

Hi
It should be all right...as long as the temperature change doesn't make the tile"sweat". When you install on Ditra, it should be mentioned, that the thin set you use will take a lot longer to set at cooler temoeratures. It would be a good idea to let it dry for a few days or more before grouting. Thin set will stay wet for days if the temperature is below 50.
