either buy some cut nails(cheaper,just as good)or go rent a ramset.usespowder charge to fire the pins.more expensive but easier

You can also use Tappcons, they are blue screws you can get at home improvement places. There is a carbide tipped drill bit sized just for them, sold with them. You can drill right thru the wood plate, and screw the tappcon right into the concrete...it cut's it's own threads. I get the kind with the hex head rather than phillips screw...easier to torque.

The big boxes sell ramsets for under $30. You strike these with a hammer to fire the charge. The rental comapnies have the ones where you pull a trigger.

Both fire a .22 caliper blank that drives a special nail.

Be sure to use a piece of treated lumber for that bottom plate as well. Sometimes construction adhesive will work just as well.
