Hi. Anyone out there who can tell me what to do as an alternative for diagonal bracing? We are opening up a wall to create an open plan kitchen and there is a diagonal bracing on the wall. We think of using 2 8x2 beams at the top and use plywood on the rest of the walls .

Is this a sensible alternative?
