Can I lay ceramic tile in my kitchen over linoleum, or do I have to take out the linoleum. I don't know what's under linoleum.

Installing tile over the recommended concrete board underlayment will assure a proper installation that is not prone to failure. Any movement in subfloor or underlayment will cause grout to fail and possibly tile to crack. Go to www.doityourself.com/ceramic for helpful tile installation info.
