We have a Ruud split system heat pump. The fan in the unit INSIDE the house will not stop running. The pump will engage the heating unit when the thermostat is used, but the fan will not stop running.
If we turn the sytem off via the thermostat, the inside fan continues to run. Only turing the power off at the breaker will stop the fan,
Is this something I can/should DIY?
Without a visual plan, I don't know where to look.. Any ideas/suggestions?

Hi,

That would depend on whether you have an Electrical Multi-Meter to test with and your troubleshooting capabilities. It could be a relay, circuit board, combo Fan/Limit switch or the t-stat that is stuck closed keeping the fan energized. Hope this helps, write back with this info and we'll go from there. Take Care.
