Water heater is over heating, after I had replaced elements.
What's the problem?

Why was the thermostats replaced? How old is the tank? Etc.

need to be replaced.Yes,both.Your wh is set up in 2 stages.The upper tstat energizes first to heat the water you will be using next.Once that tstat is satisfied the lower tstat is energized to complete the cycle.Both tstat should be replaced.Check dial on tstats they should be set at 140 degrees.If they are set too high this could also pose problems.PDF

The the both thermostats had burn out. both thermostats were replace. The water heater is 10 years olds.

from all the info I have read from your threads quote "you have replaced both elements and both tstats"---that is the info you have supplied---either call an electrician or replace hwh.PDF
