I am getting ready to retile an upstairs bath. I have been told that I can lay the new mosaic tile over the old and have also been told that I can not/should not do this. Which is correct? It would save us a lot of time if we don't have to pull up the old tile. Also, is there any really good way to get the old tile up? It is solid as rock! Thanks!

Hi
If the existing tile is as you say"solid as a rock" then there's no reason you can't go on top. Use a quality polymer modified thin set. It will say on the bag if it's suitable for going over existing tile.;)
