i'm sure these questions have been asked before, but i need to ask again, cause i'm just not sure!
first, we tiled part of our laundry room. it's a cement floor with some leftover carpet adhesive on it. now, we used a pre-mixed MORTAR, but should we have used a THINSET instead?? we got some of the carpet adhesive off, but simply couldn't scrape off ALL of it. so, what should we use for the rest of the laundry room?? if anyone has a SPECIFIC product, that'd be GREAT!!
also, we're running a border tile around the top of the floor tile, and those will be attached to a concrete block wall that has been dry-locked and painted . . . what would be the BEST adhesive for that?? we used MORTAR on what we did so far, but we're concerned about everything REALLY sticking in the future. once again, any SPECIFIC recommendations would be GREAT!!
one last point, we do occassionally get water in this room . . . just in case that makes a difference.
