I have just finished building a brand new house and would like to put a deck up in the spring. I am interested in the new Vinyl decking material, rather than treated wood. There are several brands and types available in my area. Does one brand or type stick out as being better? Any pros or cons on this new stuff, other than materials cost more?

All vinyls are not the same. Ask to see a cross-section of the decking material. The better ones will have more "honey combing" in them for more rigidity. Also ask about warranties against sun damage and discoloration.
