I'm planning to add a Shower/Bath in a full unfinished basement. I have plenty of room but it is below the grade of the septic system. I might be able to add another septic system in the side/backyard, if legal and costs are reasonable? I'm just in the Idea stage now, I have a lot of things to do, this is new construction.

I have an old bedroom set that is varnished and stained in a dark walnut color. The top surfaces of the furniture is like a plastic laminate. I want to do a paint and crackle finish on all the pieces, I've already sanded all the surfaces except the top, should I sand that too to make it ready to paint? Or should I just try to apply a primer to that surface and paint over that? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
