I have few interior bedroom door, that have a 6 inch crack running vertically down from the door handle latch. Looks like the previous owner changed door handles and might have cracked the door when screwing in the new latch. How do I approach this.

I am assuming that the crack is on the 1-3/8" edge of the door. It was probably caused by somebody trying to open the door without turning the knob first! You may be able to repair the door with wood glue and clamps, but replacing it comes to mind as probably being a better alternative.

Hello, You may want to consider a door sleeve. It's a piece of metal shaped like a U. Has a hole for the lockset and latch. Comes in different sizes. I would estimate your interior door is
1 3/8 thick with a 2 3/8 backset. Cost about 15.00.

The wood glue and clamps worked fine. And the door sleeve reinforcer is perfect. thanks
