The saga continues! Thanks for your prompt response the other day. Well, my broiler magically began to work. My baking burner does not work and I noticed that my glow coil does not heat at all. I took a resistive measurement and came up with infinity across the coil. What resistance should I read? By the way, I disconnected the wires to ensure that I was only taking the resistive measurement across the coil.

Hi: nb1234

I did not return to reread your orginal question nor my reply.
However, if all the control selections on the front panel are set correctly and the coil fails to glow, replace it.

To answer your question regarding resistance measurements, it doesn't matter. If the coil fails to glow and all else is fine, replace it.
