My gas dryer is leaving small burn marks on some of the clothes. What could be causing this? Can it be fixed or is the dryer a lost cause? We have ruined many an article of clothing.

Hello Jim and Welcome to our Do It Yourself Web Site and my Gas Appliances forum.

What your most likely seeing is the lint inside the dryer burning and depositing on the clothes or actually burning the clothes.

What I would suggest you attempt first, is unplug the unit, open up the cabinet and vacuum out the entire dryer. Then retest.

The cleaning forum may have other helpful solutions.
