:confused: ...i am thinking about putting baseboard in my basement . i was thinking about using a small electric water heater and a circulation pump with a thermostat 2 regulate it do u think this a good idea ? it will only have about 4 section of baseboard ... thanks for your input ...:)

Frankly, I think its a bad idea. First off you need to have someone advise you on the size (BTU's) you need and go from there. Installing an electric water heater with a circulating pump, plus the related piping and high voltage wiring........ Electric is expensive. This may be good in certain situations but I think you'de be better off both cost wise and operation wise if you put in either a small gas or oil fired heater.. Running the electric would be cheaper, both ghas and oil heat is cheaper and with either, all you would need is a small supply plenum with 2-3 registers-no ductwork. If noise is a problem, enclose it and line the closet with fiberglass. You could even get a small wall mounter gas heater. Give it some thought.
