Hello,
I have a storm door with 3 levels. The last level, the bottom, is an aluminum panel set into the aluminum door. The aluminum panel has been kicked in by someone and the old rubber stripping that holds it in place is ripped. I tried to take the stripping out (this is not the stripping along the door jamb) but it is old and I cannot get the panel on another way. Is this rubber stripping replaceable? Or will I have to get a new door? And if it is replaceable, how do I go about fixing it?
Thanx,
J.

You need a new storm door.

You might try a local glass company. The same type of rubber strip is often used on the glass part on storm doors as well, so they may have the replacement rubber or a universal strip that would work. But if the aluminum panel is in bad shape, you may not be able to reinstall it.
