Our front porch is poured concrete with concrete steps. $ years ago we had a flood which made it up to the foundation(no basement). Since then the steps have started to crumble and have sunken down about 3-4 inches. My question is, can we put a set of wood steps over the existing concrete ones? If so, how do I find help and directions to do it myself? What would be the best way to anchor the wood to the concrete porch? All advice is appreciated. Thanks

Generally, remove the concrete steps and then install new steps. But consult the local Building Department first. I suspect they will nix wooden steps for the main entry. If wood is allowed (maybe treated fire resistant) a ledger (with flashing) would be bolted to the concrete to attach the top of the stringers.
