I am installing brick pavers in my kitchen and would like to know the best method of cleaning the brick after grouting and before sealing

If grouting hasn't taken place yet wipe the top of the brick with grout release (this will wash off during clean up). If grouting has occurred the first choice is plain water and sponge, plus a scrub brush if necessary. The second choice is grout remover. Note: grout removers may contain acids and some types of brick are discolored by the same. The only way to know beforehand wether a particular brick is sensitive or not (among 2000 or more types) is to consult the brick maker and to always assume that light colored and blonde units are acid sensitive.

The best way is avoidance "work clean". Depending on the grout (tile grout or mortar), the viscosity of, and the joint width: 1> A grout bag (fitted with a cake decorating tip if necessary). 2> A large funnel and wooden dowel. 3> Any other convenient means.
