Am interested in how to form and finish i.e. polish
concrete countertops. Has anyone done this themselves?

Polishing in the conventional sense is more a matter of butt smooth forms, the mix proportions, and consolation of, than it is like polishing stone or terrazzo. The topic has been covered extensively in the forums at http://www.decorative-concrete.net/index.html I have made and installed concrete counter tops in my cabin. If you're looking for an easy, inexpensive, non technical project, this is not it.
