greetings from Sydney Australia!

We would like to remove old peeling/chalky paint from our brick home. Any ideas as to how to take it off? Brush, chemicals?

Also we would like to bag the house. What is the best technique (step by step) for mixing and application?

Thanks, signed,
hung over from the Olympics!

Chemical removers are the norm for home owners. Sandblasting would be faster, but it should be done professionally. Your "how to", except for mixing instructions, exists here http://www.qcd.com.au/solutions/ under rendering. I am not familiar with Australian mix proportions, but I am sure that most suppliers would provide the ingredients (sand, cement, lime?, water) and the ratios.

If I remember correctly the Australian site Brukes Backyard had some info on bagging, and the University of Sydney has research/how to articles. In the U.S. the common term is Stucco; the proper name is Portland Cement Plaster. If you need more information, try these terms.
