Doors and Windows - exterior door

We have a strange door on the street side of our house. It is 5-2' doors attached-& it has to go. The problem is we are making a bedroom out of the room that door enters and is not suitable for a front entry. I want to put in a solid wall, my husband wants a door there. I have come up with an idea but not sure how to accomplish ....... Can we put in a door that does not look like a door? Kindof an invisible door? I am thinking construct a door covered with the same material as the siding??? I have seen doors that do not have knobs, ones you push and it opens. Are these latches suitable for exterior doors? We plan to secure it with a deadbolt. Any suggestions or ideas appreciated.
