My satalite receiver pushes 113 volts across the gound of the RCA Jacks. It causes the T.V. to send this voltage out of the coax connection. I first noticed it when I was disconnecting the cable that I had canceled. I got a nice little jolt. I then measured the voltage. I traced the source of the voltage back to the reciever. If the TV is off and unplugged the voltage is still there. If the receiver is unplugged the voltage is gone. Any Ideas?
P.S. I measured between the center of the coax coming from the T.V. to the center of the coax running through the house.

Is the plug that the recvr. is plugged into wired properly? For this much voltage to be leaking across that plug I would almost say that a plug is wired backwards. You said you got a jolt so some current is there. These recvrs use switch mode supplies so it's not discreet. is the recvr still working? I say it's the plug. Is this "C" band? Dish Network? We need a little more to go on. Is the house grounded? Is the dish grounded? Is the cable grounded? To many variables, need more info, just spit balling now... You can go to any ACE etc and get a little device that you plug into the wall and it verifies the wiring...
