I have to make a project out of an 8 foot 2x4, I need some ideas HELP ME The wood is goin to be Hemlock and i can use 20$ worth of hardware, no other wood, only the 2x4

You may be limiting yourself in your thinking on this - consider taking part of the 2X4 and ripping it (through the long dimension) to obtain boards approx 3/4" thick by 3-1/2 wide.
You could then build a foot stool, a bird house (or feeder).
Ripping the material down to smaller dimensions will give you other ideas, I'm sure.
