I am about to upgrade a Gas floor furnace system to a central gas heat system that will be upgraded to a/c as well. What is the best units available for that.

The three kinds of high energy furnaces that are more than 90% efficient are:
1. PULSE
2. CONDENSING
3. INDUCED DRAFT
Out of the three the Induced draft furnace technology is the least expensive with the simplest technology and the one I would choose. Carrier, Bryant, Trane just to mentioned a few manufacturers. For air conditioning, in my opinion, Trane and Ruud are the best.
