From what I have heard, it appears Trane was made for the South.
It appears that different regions require different types of A/C units which makes sense due to the different climates and more warmer days in the south.
For the Central Florida region which A/C unit/dealer provides the better unit?

Trane in my opinion is the best, they have been involved in energy conservation since the 50's. If you can find an old building like a department store which has the original cooling system fourty years ago, you would find a Trane. The only real competitor to Trane is Ruud. Ruud didn't start competing for the commercial market until the 60's. Back in those days no-one else cared about lowering their cooling cost except commercial buildings that used a lot of cooling.
