I have a sony 53" xbr rear projection tv. It is 4 years old. I have just moving and when I reset up the TV the picture is soft and a bit out of focus. I tried the standard setting on the TV but I can not get the picture back to the way it was before I moved. Please help I don't know what to do.

Good Afternoon, pdegrazia:
If the set was professionally moved by a moving contractor, this is an issue that should be taken up with them. These large screen projection units are difficult to move and can be kicked out of alignment if jarred in the wrong way.
If you moved the unit yourself, you have more courage than I have. I've been through three major moves in the last six months and prefer to have a contractor to blame when the problems manifest themselves. One contractor bought me a new 27" Sony TV because they dropped mine and broke the picture tube in a six month old set.
If the electrical focus on your remote control didn't help, then it may be a mechanical focus problem. Mechanical focus is a function of the projection tube's distance from the projection screen. If the set was jarred just right, one or more of the projection tubes may have been misaligned for distance. This is one of those situations where a little change makes a large difference. A slight misalignment on any one tube will cause a focus problem and a resulting "soft picture". These adjustments are better left to a good technician.
After any major move, though, it is wise to have someone come out and "tune up" the projection units.
