Hi there,

I have a 46 in Zenith PV4671H projection tv. I power it on, and I get power but no video or sound. I have just ordered the HV/Pwer Supply Sweep board from Zenith.

My question is am I on the right track, replacing this board. I do not have any service manuals and Zenith does not have any either. If this board does not do the trick, is there anything else I should be looking at.

Thanks

Good Afternoon, pylon27:

There's a good chance that your new board will not solve your problem. The clue is "no sound". High voltage does not affect sound but will cancel the picture.

Frankly, I'd be looking in the low voltage power supply since this is common to both sound and video.

Ah, the elusive manuals! We had some good success with Union Electronics in getting Zenith manuals when no one else had them. I would suggest you contact them on the web and ask them if one is available for your set. You can find them at http://www.unionel.com

Thanks Smokey,

I've looked throught the part number sheet inside my set and there is no Low Voltage power supply board listed. Two High voltage power supplies. I'll give Union a call and see if they have manuals. Any further suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks again

Good Evening, pylon27:

Since the low voltage power supply is common to all the boards, it would be a safe assumption that it is part of the Mother Board and its associated circuitry (something like a computer).

Thanks Smokey,

I take it that you probably mean, the main module, or the Reg. Output boards. The rest of the boards are Video interface, I.F. Audio, RF Select, Surround, Amp, etc.

Thanks again for your help.

I'm just posting a responce here to help out anyone else who may have this problem. I replaced the the HV Power Sweep board and this resolved my no video and sound problem.

Hope this helps someone out

Thanks for Smokey's help
