Just making sure that I am right on this one, me being a Saturday (Sunday) mechanic and all. It started with a noise that was a scraping sound on and off, and next I was losing all my coolant. I checked under the engine, where I could see the water pump, and it appears all my fluid is coming out there. With the exception of the fluid that was sprayed out in the vicinity of the pump. Now, if it is my pump, which I believe it is, with the coolant going every which way, should I be worried about anything else? Fan clutch, belts, etc.?

Problem: I want to refinish my dining room and living room floors which are currently carpeted. The floors are in pretty good shape, from what I have been able to observe around the edges by lifting the carpet and looking.
However, I need to do one room at a time so I can use the other room to store the furniture from the first. I have an archway that connects the living room to the dining room. Therein lies the problem.
I will start by removing the carpeting in the dining room and sanding the dining room first. It's 10x10. If I seal off the dining room from the rest of the house using plastic to keep the dust from spreading, I will not be able to complete sanding under the archway.
To further the problem, I will not be able to refinish the continous flooring in the archway that connects to the living room.
Questions: How should I deal with this situation? I cannot have both rooms empty at the same time. I cannot remove the carpeting from both rooms at the same time. Won't this one room at a time approach leave a visible line in the finish under the archway? How should I cope with this problem?
Thanks in advance,
