i just finished painting my kitchen cabinets...i put on a primer and then one coat of oil-based paint...i used a 1.5 inch Sherwin Williams angled trim brush and a 4" foam roller ...
Question 1: the foam roller left an eggshell like texture to the paint...is there a way to leave a smooth surface rather than a eggshell look with no brush strokes???
Questions 2: also, do i need a second coat??? the first coat really caused my body a lot of grief twisting, bending, and turning trying to get all of the corners and undersides...
Question 3: in addition, when i placed the doors on a table to paint, i used a roller and a brush...when applied the paint with the brush on the edges, a little paint ran toward the front side of the door...i did not know that until i turned them over...and there was a few globs of oil-based paint on the front side where the paint accumulated...what is the best way to rid the door of this accumulation???
thanks...michael
ps...if you can add any more information i might need, it will greatly be appreciated...thank you for you time and knowledge...
