I need to cut inside and outside corners using crown molding that makes a 45 deg angle with both the wall and ceiling.
Standard crown usually makes a 52 deg and 38 deg angle
with the ceiling. Any advice? Thanks, mapfarr

mapfarr,
I believe you are correct about the angles. This question has been asked a number of time and I have found a very good site to refer to: http://www.compoundmiter.com/crown.htm
Also, some of the DIY stores have very nice inside and outside corner blocks, thus the molding is simply butted to the block.
Good luck,
fred
