Wife wants small porch coming off the wash room. Wants it to fit in L shape of back of house. The depth would only be 38", width about 12'. Highest part will be about 36" from ground. This porch will be covered.
Material on hand: 3/4x4x8 PT plywood
4"x4" PT posts
2x8's
2x4's
Am thinking of using the plywood for the floor of the porch, since it will be covered.
Want to build it seperate from house with posts about 16" in the ground with quick-krete.
Questions:
1. will attaching cover to the house then to the porch cause problems due to settling (old house)?
2. better to run post all the way to the top/roof/cover from the ground or start at porch and go up?
3. spacing of posts supporting porch with 3/4 plywood as floor?
tx for any comments or suggestions

Heheh, thanks for responding, Tina. At least I got some kinda of response. I am in 'Electric Appliance' forum a lot and can always get feedback. Sometimes, even give a little advice to try and help someone.
Maybe my posting here is too inane, don't know.
Have a good day!
