Hopefully, someone can help me with this one. I am adding a new bathroom to my house and have cut into the attic over the tub/shower area to create a cathedral ceiling about 6 feet over the top of the shower head. I am using 1/2 inch durarock backer on the three walls around the tub, can I use green board in the cathedral area? I'll probably be using 4 inch ceramic tiles to a height slightly over the showerhead. Also, I don't know if this matters or not, but I will be cutting through the roof to put in a venting skylight in the cathedral area.
Thanks in advance for your help...and yah, I know what everyone thinks about green board!!
ycanteye????
