I am not sure what professional to use to evaluate my porch. I have a 1903 frame home with a block -walled basement. The flooring and the shingle roof need to be replaced but I'm not sure the foundation (footings) and framing are adequate. The porch is attached to the house.

does the structure show signs of sagging or deflection when u walk across it? use a level 8' or 4' to see if there are any dips in the surface which would indicate structural problems... also check for rot and insect damage when u replace decking boards...
