Hello! I'm looking for any information on how to build a toy chest. I basically need any sort of written instructions. Also, if anyone has any tips on what kind of wood to use, that would be great. I have all sorts of tools and machines to work with, so I'm looking for a toy box that is really neat. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Ay wood would work well - pine, oak, birch, maple. You can use either solid woods or hardwood plywood.

Since its a toy box, you want to protect little fingers from the lid slamming down on them. Rockler has slow-closing lid supports. Here's their site: http://www.rockler.com/

Go to the site and do a search on toy box (search is at top of the page). I found plans for two toy boxes and the lid supports.
