is it ok to lay insulation over an attic that has got trash in it as long as it is relitively flat? the people that reroofed it didnt do a good job of cleaning up.

How much trash is there... Is it compressing the current insulation, If so it should be removed... If were talking small amounts of smaller pieces It shouldn't matter.
