Thinking of installing a pedestal sink in one bathroom. Any suggestions as to pros/cons and degree of difficulty?

Not too difficult. Read the instructions and follow the directions. One thing I would do that the instructions doesn't mention is install new angle stops. Turn off your water and replace the old ones. Buy the type that has a flat handle and uses 1/4 turn for off and on. These will last for years. On some pedestals, these are in sight so you may consider brass instead of chrome.
