I am putting in a medicine cabnet that is to be recessed into the existing wall. I want to put it above a toilet that is on the lower level of a new house. I'm not super positive on how this is to be done but I know I can figure it out. I am worried about the plumbing that I might run into behind the wall. I plan on looking at the blue prints of the house and making sure there are no pipes be hind it. If there are should I forget about putting the cabnet into the wall? Is there a way around it? Are the pipes usually back far enough to be out of the way?

I was looking for some kind of doit-yourself thing that would explain the installation of a recessed cabnet but to no avail.

help anyone?
