I have a den with wooden walls that are moderately dark yet unfinished. I am interested in lightening the room by lightening the wood without painting the wood, rather using the process of bleaching the wood. Has anyone heard of a way to do this? Is it as easy as just using bleach or a bleach solution? Or is it more of a wood lightening stain or other finish? If not, is there a way to lighten the wood without painting it? I'm not sure of the type of wood, but it closely resembles a medium-colored oak. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
